Bellhops navigate narrow Old Town streets, limited parking and guests arriving with bikes and boat plans. Clear, friendly directions in English are most of the role, and it is often the guest's first impression of the island.
Your bellhops and valets practice exactly what they face in front of a guest: luggage, directions and recommendations, with courtesy. Model phrases, natural-voice audio and daily correction — not grammar rules nobody repeats at the counter. The full program for bellhops and valets — the situations it rehearses, the target level and the price bands — is on the national bellhop & valet page.
Small properties mean small teams with no bilingual supervisor to hand a difficult conversation to. The person at the desk is the entire front office. For a Spanish-speaking employee, that is either a reason to avoid the shift or a reason to grow into it, and which one depends almost entirely on whether they have practiced the English of a real guest interaction.
B1 when the role also gives directions and recommendations. The placement exam fixes each person's real level on the A1 to C2 scale, and daily practice is set from that starting point, not from the team average.
