Front desk handles convention blocks, festival-week volume and international arrivals in more than one language. For Spanish-speaking staff, English is the third register to build and the one international guests default to.
Your front desk agents practice exactly what they face in front of a guest: check-in, complaints, upgrades and late arrivals. Model phrases, natural-voice audio and daily correction — not grammar rules nobody repeats at the counter. The full program for front desk agents — the situations it rehearses, the target level and the price bands — is on the national front desk page.
Montréal is the market where we should be most careful about what we claim. The city's working second language is French, and a hotel's staff may need French before English or both at once. There is a real and growing Latin American community here, and for Spanish-speaking employees who need English for international guests this fits — but a property whose language gap is French rather than English is not a property we can help.
A2 as the floor; B2 for a front desk supervisor. The placement exam fixes each person's real level on the A1 to C2 scale, and daily practice is set from that starting point, not from the team average.
